March 23, 1945, in the capture of Neisse by our troops the 8th Battery advanced with the infantry
clearing its way by their fire and thus contributed to the mastery of Neisse. In these
battles there were smashed 22 houses and 3 towers, where German machine-gunners and submachine-gunners were.
Batterys own fire served as a shelter for crossing the Neisse river and the establishment of a bridgehead on the opposite side of the river.
